As part of the Federal "No Child Left Behind" Legislation, Illinois public schools are required to provide state test results to parents and others upon request. These "report cards" include summary information about each school within the Triad Community Unit District and provide parents with the level of students' performance of each grade level on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (Grades 3-8) and Prairie State Achievement Exam (Grade 11). Information about the students' performance shows what percentage of each school's students is meeting the Illinois Learning Standards in reading and mathematics.

Each test result shows the percentage of each school's students in four performance levels. These levels were established with the help of Illinois educators who teach the grade levels and learning areas tested. Listed below are the descriptions for each of the performance levels:

  • Level 1 - Academic Warning - Students' work shows an inconsistent command of the basic knowledge and skills
  • Level 2 - Below Standards - Students' work shows basic knowledge and skills in the learning area
  • Level 3 - Meets Standards - Students' work shows that they have knowledge and skills in the learning area
  • Level 4 - Exceeds Standards - Students' work is outstanding and shows comprehensive knowledge and skills in the learning area.
