Sub Training

The Triad District will be welcoming back to school close to 4000 students this school year.  We are excited about the district’s growth and expanding staff. Thank you for your interest in working as a substitute teacher for the Triad District.

The first substitute training will be offered on Wednesday, August 28 from 8:00 - 12:00 at the Triad Administration Building (203 E. Throp St., Troy, IL, 62294).  Any substitute that has started subbing for the district, but has not attended a training is asked to attend. We also welcome any new individuals who are interested in subbing for the Triad School District.  Please note that you must have at least 60 college credit hours to obtain a substitute teaching license.

Each participant will receive a half day substitute teacher stipend after he/she has completed all paperwork, obtained a substitute licence through the Regional Office of Education, and subbed at least one day at Triad.

The training will offer a variety of different topics including district technology, lesson plans and substitute folders, building hours and procedures, classroom management, and school safety.  The end of the day will include time for questions and answers, along with help getting started with the substitute paperwork.

If you are interested in attending the substitute training, please click here to register.  If you have questions, contact Amy Van Hoose at amy.vanhoose@tcusd2.org or 618-667-5400 x1215.
