All Triad Schools Earn an Exemplary Rating from Illinois State Board of Education

Today, the Triad School District released its 2026 Illinois Report Card, along with school districts across Illinois. The full Report Card for Triad can be found at www.illinoisreportcard.com.

We are proud to announce that all six Triad schools earned the highest designation of Exemplary on the 2026 Illinois Report Card! Triad High School, Triad Middle School, C.A. Henning Elementary, Silver Creek Elementary, St. Jacob Elementary, and Marine Elementary join the top 28.3% of schools in Illinois receiving this designation.

While we are proud of our students and staff for their academic accomplishments, we also recognize that our schools are about more than test scores. At Triad, we focus on the whole child by supporting academic growth, personal development, and well-being. Our goal is to provide every student with a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success. We value our partnerships with families and our communities in helping students grow and thrive.

Summative Designations for Triad Schools

The Illinois State Board of Education releases the annual Report Card to highlight each school's progress in academics, student success, school climate, and financial investment.

Beginning this year, the Illinois Report Card introduces new Profiles of Performance, replacing previous accountability designations. These profiles use multiple measures to provide families with a more complete picture of school performance. The six possible designations are Exemplary, Approaching Exemplary, Commendable, Developing, Comprehensive, and Automatic Comprehensive.

This year's Report Card highlights several positive outcomes for Triad CUSD #2, including:

  • Science proficiency increased from 64.7% in 2025 to 67.7% in 2026, exceeding the state average of 48.7%.

  • ELA proficiency increased from 67% in 2025 to 69.2% in 2026, exceeding the state average of 55.4%.

  • Math proficiency was 55.1% in 2026, exceeding the state average of 39.2%.

  • Triad High School's graduation rate was 97.85%, exceeding the state average of 89.8%.

Families may also notice a greater emphasis on consistent attendance in this year's Report Card. Regular attendance is an important factor in academic success and high school graduation. In 2026, 96.2% of Triad students attended school consistently, compared with 95.7% in 2025.

We encourage families to review the full Report Card to learn more about student outcomes and school performance across Triad CUSD #2. The Report Card is one of many tools that help us celebrate successes, identify areas for growth, and support continuous improvement for all students.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the success of our students and schools.

Sincerely,

Jason Henderson, Ed.D.
Superintendent
Triad CUSD #2
