👷🏼♂️Yesterday, Triad CUSD #2 broke ground on a new Triad Middle School. Since 1959, our current building has stood as a place of learning—first for 40 years as Triad High School, and for the last 26 years as Triad Middle School, home to our 6th through 8th grade students. Generations of young people have walked its halls, gained knowledge, built friendships, and discovered their potential within those walls. That history is something we carry with pride.
But as our communities continue to grow, so too must our schools. The new Triad Middle School that we break ground on today represents more than just bricks and mortar—it represents our commitment to meeting the needs of today’s students while preparing for the generations to come.
At the new Triad Middle School, our students will have opportunities that simply weren’t possible before. Modern learning spaces, innovative technology, and facilities designed for collaboration will allow them to explore, create, and grow in ways that will shape their futures. This building is not just for the next few years—it will serve students and families for decades to come. 🚧

The Triad Preschool For All program, housed at C.A. Henning Elementary, has been honored with the 2025 Gold Circle of Quality Award by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) — the highest recognition awarded to early childhood programs in Illinois.
The Gold Circle Award is based on rigorous standards that emphasize instructional quality, family engagement, staff qualifications, ongoing professional development, and effective program administration.
This recognition highlights the dedication and excellence of Triad’s Preschool For All staff in building a strong educational foundation for young learners.

This afternoon, Triad CUSD #2 broke ground on the Knights Crossing Transition House. Knights Crossing will be a school home where our young adults learn and practice the skills they need for independent living -- cooking meals, managing daily responsibilities, and gaining confidence for the future. The name is fitting: just as Knights are known for courage and perseverance, this house represents a crossing into adulthood, independence, and opportunity. This house reflects the heart of the Triad district's mission: preparing every student for life beyond the classroom. It would not be possible without the vision of our board, our staff, the support of our families, and the commitment of our community. Together, we are building more than a house -- we are building a foundation for independence and success for generations to come. #Growing2gether

From our humble beginnings in 1959 with 79 seniors and 22 teachers, we've grown into a thriving family of 565 staff members serving record enrollment numbers. Our 8th grade class of 339 students is the largest in Triad history! 📈
But growth isn't just about numbers - it's about:
✨ Academic excellence (87% AP exam pass rate!)
🎵 Thriving programs (138 members in our largest band ever!)
🏆 Championship success (15 state titles and counting!)
🏗️ New facilities (groundbreaking for our new middle school this fall!)
Growing2gether means we support each other - students, staff, families, and community - as we continue building on our legacy of excellence. Together, we're not just growing in size, we're growing in our ambitions, our goals, and our commitment to every Hornet, Cub, Star, Spartan, Crusader, and Knight! 💙❤️
